Bill continues to inspire interesting and often controversial discussions about arts in American culture with the hope of opening ears, minds and hearts to the many genres of music. Perhaps predictably, this approach recently led to a critical mass of music lovers yearning to experience the implications of Bill's ideas through live music. Currently under formation, the Suburban Philharmonic Society is a Philadelphia metro-area organization whose mission is to give those newly-opened ears, minds and hearts a brisk workout while tackling the thorny challenges facing American orchestras in the 21st century.
