Welcome to vilheuston.com, the online personal presence of William (Bill) C. Houston III, conductor, violist, educator, and consultant to arts organizations. Bill has a passion for all things musical, with expertise in every aspect of orchestra operations including conducting and playing, upper-level management, and day-to-day administration. A diverse formal education and broad experience combine to lend impetus to tackle the myriad challenges of arts organizations in 21st-century American society.

Bill continues to inspire interesting and often controversial discussions about arts in American culture with the hope of opening ears, minds and hearts to the many genres of music. His lectures demonstrate how focused listening can reward us with satisfying mental involvement in addition to the emotional uplift for which we turn to music.
